You’ll see each step of the traditional steam distillation process carried out in our workshop in Madagascar, ensuring a 100% pure, natural oil with no additives.

A local plant rooted in our land

Eucalyptus citriodora grows naturally in the highlands and certain areas of eastern Madagascar. This fast-growing tree is known for its slender, flexible leaves and its strong lemony scent, thanks to its high citronellal content.

We harvest the leaves at full maturity, in line with sustainable practices and the natural growth cycle. They are then steam-distilled using artisanal methods to produce a soft, citrusy and slightly sweet oil that remains true to the original plant.

Properties and benefits

Citriodora essential oil is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and insect-repelling properties, but its uses are more diverse:

  • Natural anti-inflammatory
Helps relieve muscle pain, joint discomfort and post-exercise inflammation.
  • Mosquito repellent
Very effective, especially in tropical areas. Can be diffused or applied to the skin (diluted).
  • Antifungal and antibacterial
Helps cleanse the skin and is useful in cases of fungal infections or minor skin problems.
  • Relaxing and calming
Its fresh lemony scent helps reduce stress and promote better sleep.
